it took us 30 minits from the harbour to d island. d ship was very rocky!!! n i puked,, euuww!! many of us were sea sick, so we stood most of d time in the open air.
we then walked for 2 hours to arrive at d weeding place,, gladly d sun was out so we enjoyed d stroll,
on d way, we found a disserted crane, it was just lying there, lonely. there was no driver and it had a plate number, hehe, i mean its in d middle of an island, n it needs a plate number? it doesnt make sense kn?
the view was so beautiful, i fell immediatly in love wit new zealand. Owh i wish my family was here, its just like d iklan in malaysia "susu import drpd newzealand" n cows on these beautiful hills. There was a bunnch of cows just opposite me but dey were too far, so wen i tried snapping a picture, dey look like pebbles on top of a hill.
at last!!!! we arrived at d weeding place. Before weeding, we had luch n some took a swim. d water was freezing cold! (kt blkng tu syng on d way nk lompat msuk air yg sejuk, kuar2 mengigil kesejukan dn kelaparan, hehe).
Motutopu is a preserved island where they aim to make it a forest. d place used to be a forest, den bocs of modernization, they chopped off all trees, leaving d island full of weeds, grass and a few new born native trees. Usually volunteers come here to help weed, plant new born trees and take care of d island. No pets or litter is allowed, n dey have strict rules of leaving pets running around d island. so mayb d nex generation can see trees and not grass.
well i prefer leaving it as it is, hehe, but den again trees help me breath!
